LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Our workshop, based in Niederösterreich (Lower Austria), is an area rich in natural beauty and cultural attractions, being close to the River Danube, the World Heritage designated Wachau Valley, the Vienna Woods and within striking distance of Vienna itself. It will appeal to ramblers, cyclists, boat enthusiasts and those interested in artistic, historical and cultural sights.

For the bon viveur, the region's fame as a wine producing area and it's good value 'Heurigers', farmer's taverns offering basic, quality local wines and cold meats will be of particular interest. Although best known for white wines, such as the native Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Frühroter and Silvaner, they also produce some very good reds such as the Zweigelt, Blauburger, Blaufränkisch and Blauer Portugieser.
